The Friends of Forestry Political Action Committee's successful golf tournament at the Old North State Golf Tournament will not be held this year due to the downturn in the economy.

The tournament typically takes place in April and tournament organizers hope to hold this event again in 2010. All of the proceeds of this tournament go to the Friends of Forestry Political Action Committee.

Over the past four years, this tournament has become a popular event with NCFA members and their guests. Team captains are responsible for assembling a foursome to play in the tournament. The costs for a foursome is $500 and includes a dinner after the round of golf. Prizes are awarded for top teams and individual performances.
