he North Carolina Forestry Association believes that education is one of the most important components to sustaining the long-term health of North Carolina's forests.

The NCFA's Public Education Initiative, which is funded by NCFA members, offers programs for both professionals in the forest products industry, namely the ProLogger program, as well as the general public through environmental camps for students, teacher workshops and environmental materials.

TREE FARM INSPECTORS/CERTIFIER TRAINING WORKSHOP, SEPTEMBER 14, 2010…This workshop is designed for foresters who would like to be certified Tree Farm Inspectors.  The workshop will be conducted at the Roaring River Volunteer Fire Department from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.   Please call Steve Cox at 336-374-4677 to reserve a spot.  The workshop is being sponsored by Louisiana-Pacific at Roaring River and Weyerhaeuser.  Lunch will be served.  The workshop is FREE.
