FOREST PRACTICE GUIDELINES
The North Carolina Division of Forest Resources inspects some 3,500 forestry operations for compliance with the Forest Practice Guidelines for Water Quality (FPG’s) on an annual basis. Compliance with these FPG's range in the 90-95% range.
This is the second lowest number of enforcement referrals since 1990, the first year that the FPG’s became mandatory.
