N.C. WATERSHED PROTECTION REGULATIONS
These regulations establish minimum state standards/requirements for protecting water quality in water supply watersheds in North Carolina. The rules require local governments to adopt state the identified minimum standards or develop their own local requirements. The legislation that created this program also defined the Forest Practice Guidelines as the state standards for forestry and prohibited local governments from enacting any requirements more stringent than the Forest Practice Guidelines for Water Quality.
