During the COVID-19 crisis the North Carolina Forestry Association (NCFA) has partnered with the Carolina Loggers Association (CLA) and the North Carolina Agromedicine Institute to provide safety guidelines for North Carolina's forestry community through social media posts. The initiative was recognized by Southern Loggin' Times Magazine.
NCFA's Executive Director Dr. John Hatcher stated the following in the Southern Loggin' Times news release regarding the initiative: “We encourage everyone in the forest products industry to take the necessary precautions to prevent COVID-19. At the end of the day, each person’s role is so important to keeping the business moving forward and our rural communities and families safe.”
