North Carolina Forestry Association hosts 2022 Annual Meeting in-person in Greensboro, NC

GREENSBORO, NC – The North Carolina Forestry Association (NCFA) will host its annual meeting Wednesday, September 28—Thursday, September 29 at the Grandover Resort & Conference Center in Greensboro, NC. The theme for the NCFA’s 2022 Annual Meeting is The Future of Forestry in North Carolina. The meeting will feature informative presentations on both days of the event, focusing on workforce development, what to expect for the campaign 2022, forestry market expansion, understanding how the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 will affect NC, fuel markets, and international trade and growth opportunities.

NCFA Executive Director, John Hatcher, PhD, stated, “We are excited to welcome back members this year after having to miss both our 2020 and 2021 Annual Meeting because of COVID. We have so much to catch up on socially, and so much to learn about changes concerning forestry this year. Our speaker lineup is cutting edge and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have these folks speaking to our membership about forestry in North Carolina.”

The general session will begin on Wednesday, September 28 at 12:30pm followed by a welcome reception at 6:00pm on. Dinner and live music will follow the reception, along with the NCFA’s Friends of Forestry Political Action Committee (FFPAC) annual reverse raffle.

The general session will reconvene on Thursday, September 29 at 8:00am and will conclude at noon. Participants will hear informative presentations from Be Pro Be Proud, Binderholz Timber, Inc., Campaign Connections, Forest2Market, Inc., Harbor Bay Ventures, NC Department of Labor, NC Department of Transportation, NC State Port Authority, and Southern Loggers Cooperative.

Participants will be free to explore the Greensboro area Thursday afternoon including opportunities to play golf, enjoy sporting clays, or relax with an essential oils workshop. The President’s reception and awards banquet will begin at 6:00pm, followed by a lively Casino night. The meeting will conclude Friday, September 30, the 2022 with a Board of Directors Meeting.
