The NCFA received over 1,000 essays from students across the state in for the National Forest Products Week Essay Contest. The contest was sponsored by the North Carolina SFI Implementation Committee, the North Carolina Forest Service and the NCFA. All three participating partners were were extremly impressed with their thoughtful and intelligent responses.
The essays were broken down into three groups – elementary school, middle school and high school. The winners were:
