In an effort to track the progress of the annual module-training requirement for the ProLogger program, the NCFA maintains an up-to-date database of all active ProLoggers. This feature is only accessible to NCFA members.
A ProLogger can find his/her current status by logging into the NCFA’s member portal (https://ncfa.memberclicks.net/). ProLoggers can use their ProLogger number as the username and password to log in initially. ProLoggers are encouraged to change their username and password in addition to updating their contact information. In the member portal, ProLoggers will be able to view the following information:
If you need assistance with your login information, please contact Mike Powell (email: mpowell@ncforestry.org) or (919) 834-3943 ext 104.
The ProLogger year runs from June 30-June 30 each year with a 30-day grace period on final payment.
The NCFA maintains a ProLogger Hold List for all professional loggers who would like to become ProLoggers, but have not had the opportunity to take the required Base Course yet. A professional logger is not added to the ProLogger Hold List until the NCFA office staff have received all information, including payment. Once a logger is added to the Hold List, they are registered for the next available base course. The base course DOES NOT have a restricted limit of participants.
While most of the companies participating in the ProLogger and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), programs recognize the NCFA ProLogger Hold List as an intent to take the next available base course and will accept wood from professional loggers on the ProLogger Hold List. It is your responsibility to contact the company representative to confirm that. Loggers will only stay on the list for one year. If after a year, a professional logger has not taken the Base Course, the logger will be removed from the Hold List.
