GREENSBORO, NC (AUGUST 28, 2025) – The North Carolina Forestry Association (NCFA) will host its annual meeting on Wednesday, September 17 and Thursday, September 18 at the Grandover Resort and Spa in Greensboro, NC. This year’s theme is Forestry in Focus: Managing Today, Sustaining Tomorrow.
The NCFA Annual Meeting gathers members from across the state, representing various business functions of the forestry and forest products industry, from forest managers, landowners, mill operators, loggers, and more.
“The NCFA Annual Meeting is a great opportunity to bring our members together to engage in thoughtful discussions and learn from the best regarding the state of our industry,” said NCFA Executive Director, John Hatcher, Ph.D. “[We] are always looking for ways to enhance our members’ experience and provide them with useful tools and resources. The Annual Meeting is just one of many events where our members can network with their peers and gain valuable knowledge about the forestry and forest products industry.”
This year’s meeting will kick off with a keynote presentation by Dr. Brooks Mendell, President & CEO of Forisk Consulting, on the topic of forest industry markets and trends, followed by a variety of forestry industry experts who will share impactful presentations on using woody biomass for sustainable aviation fuel production and the importance of teaching natural resources in the classroom. The meeting will also feature three panel discussions surrounding the outlook of forest management in the NC Piedmont, insights from young forestry professionals, and the state’s evolving political landscape. A detailed agenda with speakers can be found on our website.
